The Kingdom of Capaignia

This is the starting place for the characters . One of the Seven Kingdoms, Capaignia (pronounced Car-pain-ia) is a small, but prosperous and happy kingdom under the rule of King Wendell. Capaignia considers itself one of the more 'civilised' of the kingdoms, with fewer witches, wolves, trolls, talking bears, magic treasures, dark forests and all those other troublesome things frequenting the surrounding kingdoms. Capaignians tend to be sober, diligent, and good-humored in the condescending manner of those who know they are better off than their neighbours.

King Wendell has three sons - Hubert, Thomas, and James. Hubert , the eldest, is tall, strong and handsome, with dark eyes, wavy hair, and a warm smile for all his subjects. Here is a picture of him at an official coronation of some sort. Despite the fact that there has been no shortage of willing brides, Hubert has yet to find one that pleases him, and it has reached a point where his aging father is now becoming anxious. Thus, the King has organised a ball, a a ball of which the likes has never been seen, a bride-finding ball, with invitations sent to kingdoms far and wide, in the hope that a princess from one of these will capture Hubert's heart.

Next is Thomas, about what can be said? A stout and honest fellow, he is the middle son and so has not the great responsibility borne by Hubert, but nor is he the youngest and indulged by others. He is in the awkward position of having to look up to his older brother, and look out for his younger. We don't have a picture of him yet.

Last is James. Being the youngest son, he has grown up in the shadow of his older brothers,
which sometimes chafes, on the other hand, he is allowed more leeway. James does not
imagine ever being king however, and spends his days listening to stories of magic faraway places and dreaming of great adventures one day.
